What is HP NEET Counselling?
HP NEET Counselling 2026 is the state-level seat allotment process for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 85% state quota in Himachal Pradesh. It is conducted by Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU HP). Candidates who qualify NEET UG 2026 and hold a valid HP domicile can register. Separately, candidates may also participate in MCC counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. IGMC Shimla and Dr. RPGMC Tanda are the top government medical colleges in the state.

HP NEET Counselling 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
- NEET UG Qualification: Must have qualified NEET UG 2026 with a valid scorecard from NTA.
- HP Domicile: Himachal Pradesh domicile certificate is mandatory for state quota seats.
- Age: At least 17 years old as on December 31, 2026.
- Academic Qualification: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD).
HP NEET Counselling 2026 – Rounds
- Round 1: First seat allotment based on NEET rank, category, and choices.
- Round 2: For seats remaining vacant after Round 1.
- Mop-Up Round: For remaining unfilled seats. HP NEET counselling is usually conducted in 3 major rounds including mop-up.

in 552 marks you will surely get a MBBS seat at Shimla or Tanda. You should have a bonafied himachali certificate.
Sir Ji, this time ( HPU Prospectus of 2019), they have not mentioned anything about the domicile status of a person working in private job outside Himachal.
